Cancer Screening
Available screening modules at Beijing partner hospitals
Our health check packages include several cancer screening modules. Below is an overview of what's covered and what additional options may be worth discussing with the medical team.
Important: These screening modules are designed for asymptomatic individuals as part of routine health checks. If you are experiencing symptoms, please consult a medical professional for appropriate diagnostic evaluation.
Colorectal Cancer Screening
Stool Occult Blood Test (OB)
Included in all health check packages. An important initial screening tool for gastrointestinal bleeding and potential colorectal cancer.
Additional option: Colonoscopy is not included in the base package but may be recommended for individuals with family history of colorectal cancer.
Breast Cancer Screening
Breast Ultrasound
Included in women's screening packages. Standard imaging for breast nodule detection and breast health assessment.
Additional option: Mammography is not currently in the base package. For women with family history of breast cancer, enhanced imaging (mammography or breast MRI) may be worth discussing.
Cervical Cancer Screening
ThinPrep Cytology Test (TCT)
Included in women's (married) screening packages. Screens for cervical cancer and precancerous lesions.
Additional option: HPV DNA testing is not currently in the package but can complement TCT for more comprehensive cervical screening.
Prostate Cancer Screening
Prostate Ultrasound
Included in men's screening packages. Assesses prostate size, morphology, and potential abnormalities.
Additional option: PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) blood test is not in the base package. For men with family history of prostate cancer, PSA testing may provide additional screening value.
Thyroid Cancer Screening
Thyroid Ultrasound + Thyroid Function Panel
Included in all health check packages. Ultrasound assesses thyroid structure and nodules; blood panel evaluates thyroid function.
Lung Cancer Screening
Chest X-ray (PA view)
All packages include a standard chest X-ray for preliminary pulmonary assessment.
Additional option: Low-Dose CT (LDCT) is the recommended method for lung cancer screening in high-risk individuals (smokers, family history). LDCT is NOT in the current package but may be available as a hospital add-on.
